Aloe, Olive Oil, Beeswax and Vitamin E.

Great for those who do not wish to have a flavor on their lips, fantastic moisturizing effect. Acting as a surfactant, beeswax, when blended into cold creams and other skin lotions, forms a protective barrier on the surface of the skin.

People who regularly experience dry skin, even after winter can make use of this oil to get rid of the dryness. Vitamin E oil reduces dryness and flakiness. One can apply it specifically on dry areas and see how it performs. After regular application for few weeks. Vitamin E concentration in skin may increase and one may not have dry skin at all, even after withdrawing the use of Vitamin E oil, which is great.
Vitamin E oil can make skin look a bit more radiant.

One of the most profound benefits of olive oil for skin care is how quickly and easily it softens dry skin.

The simple way to use olive oil, is to simply rub it on your body after your shower. It takes a little while to be absorbed completely so make sure you give yourself time before getting dressed.olive-oil-skin-care

You can speed up the absorption by adding a little aloe vera. This improves the absorption of any oil into your skin. It will also take the oil a little bit deeper than it would go on its own.

Part of why Olive Oil is so powerful is because it’s a “humectant” which means that it draws moisture into your skin. Another one of the major benefits of olive oil skin care is its effect on wrinkles – it can actually help to prevent them with its antioxidant super powers.

Peppermint and Aloe

Aloe, olive oil, Beeswax, vitamin E and PeppermintHealth-Benefits-Of-Peppermint.jpg

Our peppermint and aloe lip balm comes down to the basics. Soothing your lips, healing the cracks and the chap caused by sun or cold. The aloe aids the healing process leaving your lips feeling softer and refreshed.

Peppermint oil helps heal cracked lips, and this is the reason why this oil is an active ingredient in lip balm and lip glosses. The oil has a soothing effect (because of menthol that’s present in it), and so can be used on wind-chapped or sun-burnt lips as it will give a cooling and refreshing effect on the skin.

Chamomile & Honey

Aloe, Olive Oil, Beeswax, vitamin E, Honey and Chamomile essential oil.

Who doesn’t love a nice warm comforting cup of chamomile tea on those fall days. our lips balm contains the comforting effects of chamomile and the sweetness of real honey, we know you will enjoy it.

Honey is said to have anti aging properties, as well as being a *humectant; having the ability to attract and retain moisture, and to rebuild the moisture level in the skin without making it oily. it can be therefore used as a skin softener and in anti aging products. Honey will absorb moisture once exposed to air.honey

Chamomile benefits start with antioxidants that are associated with better immune function; lower rates of mood disorders; reduced pain and swelling; and healthier skin, hair, nails, teeth and eyes.

Apple and Cinnamon ( Holiday Blend Nov – Feb )

Aloe, Olive Oil, Beeswax, Vitamin E, Essence of Apple and Cinnamon essential Oils241236359751919437_p39_i2_w230

The smell of the holidays, a floral scent of crisp green Apple, blended with cinnamon essential oil. This lip balm also has a slight lip plumping side effect which will work well for those Holiday parties.

Cinnamon essential oil is highly respected for its antiseptic properties, creating a warm uplifting feeling the skin. This lip balm can be used as a natural lip plumper.

Coconut Lime

Aloe, Olive Oil, Beeswax, Vitamin E, Coconut oil and Lime Oil

We have literally created a lip balm that smells exactly like a margarita, it smells so good that you will want to eat it, and even though you could because we do not use anything that would harm you, we do state that it for external use only.  So though it is tempting just say no to eating it.

Traditionally, coconut oil has been praised and popularized for its anti-aging properties. Like coconuts themselves, coconut oil is rich in many proteins. These proteins keep skin healthy and rejuvenated, both internally and externally. Proteins also contribute to cellular health and tissue repair, along with a wide range of other essential activities within the body. For any damaged cells on or near the skin, a healthy of flow of proteins limecoconutguarantees their replacement at a normal rate, whereas people with protein-deficient diets heal slower and often develop more obvious scars due to the extended healing time.
Lime is full of antioxidants and other beneficial nutrients, as is its essential oil. Lime essential oil can cure infections, protect against their development, and also contains antiseptic properties. When applied externally, it protects the skin and wounds from infections and helps them to heal quickly.

 Earl Grey

Aloe, Olive Oil, Beeswax, Vitamin E, Bergmont Essential Oil and Black Tea.

Yes we have made a lip balm that smells just like a nice warm cup of earl grey tea, which just happens to be my favorite tea in the world.

Image result for bergamot flowerBergmont creates a feeling of freshness, joy, and energy in cases of sadness and depression by improving the circulation of the blood. Bergmonts refreshing aroma and disinfectant properties, which inhibit the growth of germs causing body-odor, make it an effective and attractive delivery system as a deodorant. The sweet citrus smell is both relaxing and soothing. Bergmont is also a Cicatrisant, meaning it has a property or an agent which helps scars and other marks on the skin to disappear. It also makes the distribution of pigments and melanin even and uniform, resulting in the fading away of marks and an even, attractive skin tone. This essential oil is commonly used to eliminate the unsightly effects of acne, which can leave noticeable scars and marks on the affected areas for many years.Black-tea-composition-with-mint-leaf-on-wooden-palette

Black tea is considered good for your skin. Black tea is rich in vitamins B2, C and E, minerals such as magnesium, potassium and zinc, and some essential polyphenols and tannin. Thus, its nutritional value makes it beneficial for the skin in many ways.

Q: What is “Wet Shaving” and how is it different from the way most men shave today?

A: Wet Shaving is just what the term implies keeping your face wet with plenty of hot water before, and during, the entire shave. To create your own hot wet-shave, fill your bathroom sink about half full with hot tap water. Then, thoroughly soak a thick wash cloth in the water. Wring the cloth out just so it’s not dripping wet. Lean your face over the sink and place the hot cloth on the bearded part of your face. Depending on the coarseness of your whiskers, you may need to re-soak the cloth and apply it again. The heat and moisture will actually soften your beard. The result? Your whiskers will be easier to shave off without the irritation of razor burn.
Wet Shaving gives you more effective shaves and better looking skin. The hot water opens the pores of your skin and relaxes your facial muscles, and it softens your whiskers for more effective cutting. Believe it or not, but your whiskers are tougher than the edge of a razor blade, and shaving “dry”, or mostly dry as with the vast majority of shaving creams, foams, and gels on the market, means you’re literally tugging on each and every hair on your face instead of neatly slicing it at the skin’s surface and moving on without irritating your skin. The key to proper Wet-shaving is keeping your face as wet as possible at all times during the shave. Even if you keep your current tools and routine, you’ll marvel at how much closer and more comfortable shaving can be when you keep your face hydrated at all times with lots of hot (not scalding) water.

5-Step Guide to Shaving Correctly:

images12

1) Cleanse your face:

The first and most important step to obtaining the best shave is to wet your face with warm to hot water. This ensures that the hairs of your beard are as soft as possible as well as opening up your pores and helping to lift the hairs upward. Soak a facecloth in warm water, and hold it to your beard for 30 seconds. This will help soften and loosen the hair and skin. Give your face a quick towel dry.

2) Apply Shaving Oil:

This next step is a little trick that we picked up from reading old school shaving adverts. It is optional, but definitely helps for an even better shave. Try applying a little shaving oil to the face prior to lathering up as it will ensure that the blades glide extra smoothly across the skin while cutting the beard and help reduce razor burn. Apply a few drops of ScruF shaving oil to your hand and in a circular motion rub it into your beard. This helps lift the hair away from the skin, and exfoliate the skin at the same time, again reducing the chance of skin irritation.

3) Pretend to Lather Up:

Next, using your hand or a badger hair brush, apply the shaving balm up and down over all of the areas that you are going to shave. The up and down motion of your hand will exfoliate your skin and help soften your beard even more. Continue applying the shaving balm evenly across your beard for about a minute until you’ve got a thin layer of having balm that covers the areas that you will be shaving. ScruF shaving balm is a non foaming shave balm, and therefore does NOT need extra water to be added for shaving. We suggest using a “LOADED RAZOR” which means, dipping the razor into a sink filled with hot water, which cleans any clogged blades as well as LOADING the razor with water.

4) Shaving:

Begin by shaving one side of your face while you work slowly towards the other side. Be sure to hold your razor at a 90 degree angle, use downward strokes, going from up to down, so that you are shaving with the direction that your hair grows. You DO NOT want to shave against the grain of your hairs, from down to up, because it can cause irritation, redness, razor burn, and ingrown hairs. Also, remember not to press too hard against your face when using a double edged razor. All you will be doing is scraping off your skin and getting razor burn. Rinse your razor as you go. Regularly rinsing your razor in hot water. If necessary, tap it on the sink to dislodge clogged hair and cream or oil (but avoid tapping the blade directly, as this will obviously dull it). A clogged blade will not perform well.

Rinse with the coolest water that is comfortable and pat dry with a clean towel. (DON’T RUB JUST PAT DRY)

5) Moisturize:

After shaving, use ScruF cooling cream which contains soothing vitamin E and Aloe Butter to replace any nutrients that may have been lost in the shaving process. After shaving, is when your skin is most vulnerable, shaving can remove up to two layers of skin. There is no other regular activity that does this, which is why it is so important to use a good quality moisturizer after shaving.

Alba Therapies Aromatherapy TREASURES

BRACELETS

Handmade bracelets are now available for purchase, each are individual creations and one of a kind. They are created using only real stone and wood with silver accents. We have a single strand available, as well as a triple wrap bracelet that doubles as a necklace. All bracelets are created as aromatherapy diffusers, allowing you to wear any particular scent of your choice.

To use your bracelet, place a small amount of essential oil on 1-3 of the lava beads. Make sure to apply the oil on the part of the bead that faces away from your skin. Because essential oils are very concentrated, it’s best to avoid applying them directly to skin undiluted except in very specific situations.

We believe that, there are many ways to shave a man’s face, there is however only one way to shave it correctly.
